Mature femininity displays how humanity should relate to God. Similarly, it effectively reflects how Christ related to the Father.

Because men have to learn from God what it means to be masculine, the foundation of masculinity is worship – praising the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit in the beauty of holiness. Men have to learn what it is to be masculine and the only way to learn that is by worshiping the Father through the Son.

There is a difference between maleness and masculinity or manliness. There are plenty of males in the world; but the number of men is far fewer. Maleness is a mere biological fact; given a certain anatomy a human being is male. But masculinity, manliness is not a mere matter of biology but of character. It is something that must be developed, striven after, and achieved.

The man and the woman while possessing equal dignity and worth have distinct callings that correspond to their biological differences. They were made to complement one another.

Why has Western Civilization accorded women a high degree of respect and honor? The answer lies in the life of our Lord Jesus Christ and the teachings of Scripture — the ancient cultural bias against the equality of men and women received a striking corrective in Jesus’ life and ministry.
